250mb zip drive for $35 @ Staples

For those that missed out on the 100mb zip, you can go for the 250 and it's cheaper. Involves coupon, pm & rebate in the form of gift check. $50 gift check only good in your local bm store. End cost, around $30. You need to add $5 worth of products to qualify for $30 off $150, but I chose a $15 zip disk for the drive.

Search for iomega corporation from staples rebate center and there should be $50 gift check. It is for this item. I know gift check is not funds you can deposit into your account, but it is money you can use for your future staples deals.

I added $15 item zip disk, but you only needed to add $5 worth of item to get you over $150. Therefore, you could get the drive for around $25 after all is said and done.

Note1. Staples pm policy is if you use coupon, their price is $145 - $30 coupon = $115. They use this price to pm CompUSA's price of $99.99 and thus may only give you $15 back. But I have had pm on original price before.

Note2. You may require actual compusa receipt if the csr doesn't have a concept of 'instant savings'.

Note3. They may try not to pm because staples offer rebate which is handled similar to note1. And if you do get pm, they may null your coupon because your total falls below the $150 minimum to use the coupon.

But it is possible to get this as I explained. 250mb zip drive is compatible with your 100mb zip disks. Great opportunity to upgrade now. Unfortunately, we missed out on $35 rebate from iomega. Good luck.

you can also pm before purchase, but that only qualifies you for $20 off $100...unless there is a $30 off $100. Price match before purchase to bring your total to $99.99. Add msn software for penny. Use $20 off $100. There is an email coupon floating around so you can do this in store one shot.

In various magazines, there is a full page ad from iomega touting $35 instant savings on the 250mb usb external zip drive and $25 on the 100mb usb external zip drive.

Today is the last day of the CompUSA sale and I was able to get in on the deal to make my final Staples cost to around $35 for the drive AND get $50 gift certificate for future steals and deals. Don't know next week's price from various stores, but look for the ad if you are interested.
