Rolling eyes

I visited it today and noticed the prices on some items I'd gotten earlier have almost doubled.
I guess they are gearing up for a lot of traffic in the holiday season!
They have some really good things, but the slow rebate process...well, that's all part of their business model...

Anybody received their rebates in Nov.?

I remain very skeptical of Cyberrebate. But they did send all my rebates including Nov.I have one more to go.It is to bad they do not bond themselves or carry insurance covering the Rebates.I never seen how they can keep going

They can keep going because they keep hundreds of millions of dollars for 3-4 months and keep all that interest. Its a brilliant plan if you ask me.

I was very skepitical too. I placed my first order and it took forver to get the rebates. The most expensive one they claimed they never got, but after I resent it everything worked out fine (I bought a game- and sent them a letter stating since you claimed it was lost enclosed are the first few pages of the game booklet) so, I placed another order and all my rebates came (it does take about 3 months to get them) The prices are high, but they do come through. Make copies of everything.

I have done lots of Cyberrebate orders....BUT now I am seriously reconsidering and further purchases - their prices have gone beyond OUTRAGEOUS into the realm of unbelieveable. Things I bought 6 months ago are now three or four times as much as their previously high prices. Frankly, it is almost not worth the hassle to get a $10 candle that I could find on sale somewhere else for $5 by having to spend $150!!!!! and wait three months for the rebate.... cyberrebate is definitely shutting itself out of the market with their absurd pricing.

Of course CyberRebates prices have gone through the roof, they need to pay all the lawyers they had to hire to fend off the New York DA's office.

Cyberrebate did not plan for consumers to actually complain when their rebates never show up, and therefore didn't place legal costs into the business plan. They were forced to raise prices.

Since there are so many complaints against them, and an investigation by the NY DA's office, they needed additional funds just to pay lawyers to keep them out of Jail.

I got some last week and they said they mailed some on 11/27 from some purchases I made on 8/24.

Yep, the rebate process seems very slow, but free stuff with free shipping is very, very hard for me to pass up.

I suggest, so it doesn't seem to take as long, to make regular purchases from them, but time them better.

Use your credit card on your closing date and that, with the grace period, will give you about 56 days into the rebate process with out paying. That way, you are actually without your money for half the time. Staggering your purchases keeps the checks coming as your purchases keep coming.

Prices are now through the roof. My personal favorite is an illustrated booklet of cat cartoons ($5 on the bargain shelf at any bookstore) for $79 with a $79 rebate.

Still no phone number, they promissed they were working on that since August 1999.

Go ahead place your order with them and gamble that they will be around in 4 months when your rebates are due.

My second favorite is the candles for $89.99 with a 89.99 rebate! Candles ? Candles? who in their right mind would spend 90 dollars for a candle!!!

Good Luck Joel and Elliott....

Maybe they will lease the pets.com space and sell a case of pets.com brand dog food for $149 with a $130 rebate!!!!

A 56K fax modem for 149.95?

A mouse with no warrenty 49.95?

a 10 pack of floppies for 49.95?

Do you really think these prices are high?

By the way, The Truth, you are correct, and Cyberratesux, your name tells it all

Anyone ordering from this place should try to order through e-bates. They are currently giving 5% back. I figure I come out ahead (just barely when you figure printing, paper, envelopes, copier ink and rebate postage). I try to order when my credit card is just starting a new statement so that gives me a month and a half off. I actually like cyberrebate. They lost a few of my rebates and always cleared it up quickly. I think they are raising prices because people are desperate for Christmas. I hope it goes down after the New Year. Prices are outrageous now!!

I ordered 18 items from this site over a 3 month period. I made complete copies of every rebate I sent in, and have, at this time, received 16 of the rebates. I have not had any problems with them. BUT- the prices have increased dramatically. I will not purchase anymore items. I just want to get my last 2 rebates, and forget this site.

I just am too scared to try with my luck they will shut down before I see my money. I dont see how they will stay in business charging 240.00 for a pewter 5.00 candle holder. I can just hear my mother now! I like to go to the site to get a laugh now and then. Got a good laugh when a popular websited wrote an article about how great they were and this journalist stated she didnt mind paying 15% above the worth price. 15% where was she getting her numbers???? GREED GREED GREED. Sites like cyberebate will come and they will go.
