I shared some Staples coupon codes with a friend who was about to buy this camera at Amazon, and he got it much cheaper going through Staples. However, he's not thrilled with the quality of the pictures. Remember, with digital cameras, you get what you pay for!

rebate form online

The rebate form is manufacturer rebate, not Staples. If you search for the camera, the page will have 'more info' in red. Click on that and you get [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now]

The camera is much like the kbgear cameras. The agfa holds up to 32 lesser quality images, which you can not view on the camera. After 32 images, you must delete all to take more pix. However, from the description, you can use it as a webcam.

The description says the price is $99.98 AFTER rebate, so maybe they are just discounting the price and you don't get a rebate. Previously (within the last few weeks) the camera was listed at 129.98 with a $30.00 rebate for a final cost of $99.98, so maybe they decided to simplify things and do an "immediate rebate". I thought about getting it before but the people I have talked to said to look for a camera with at least 1 megapixel resolution. This one would only be about 1/3 megapixel so it may not produce very good pictures. You can find a 1.2 megapixel camera for about $100.00 more. I think that is what I'm going to do.

PS. Seems agfadeal and I were posting at the same time because I had not seen that information when I posted mine.

problems @ dot com

juliet57 - I don't know Staples reason for the price screw up, I just take advantage of it. They have the camera at one price and there is a rebate form stating expires 3/31/2001.

This would be somewhat similar to zipdeal's post on the zip drive for $75. Generally, original price is around $100, but there is an offer of $25 savings if you buy the zip drive and zip disks. However, the dot com suggest getting the zip drive for $75 and get the disks for free.
