HERE'S THE VACATION DEAL - You get 3 days and 2 nights hotel accomodations in the resort destination of your choice, whether its Las Vegas or Orlando (you have 24 more choices), and all you have to pay is $15 to redeem the vacation certificate and the room taxes ($17.95 total). WHAT'S THE CATCH? Absolutely nothing. You don't have to buy anything. You don't have to attend some stupid time share presentation. All you have to do is enjoy your vacation. You have no cost or commitment other than the $15 and the room taxes. For many of the vacations, you'll also receive a great coupon book full of freebies, discounts and special offers. For example, the book for Las Vegas is worth $1,748. HOW CAN WE MAKE THIS FABULOUS OFFER? What can I say - we're good! We've negotiated a tremendous deal with a large travel agency. This agency specializes in filling rooms in hotels during their off days. The hotels don't make any money from empty rooms. Since it costs them just a few dollars to clean a room, they'd rather have you in it and maybe make some money from you in their restaurants or shops. You might even like it so much that you stay a few extra days or plan your next vacation there. ENJOY YOURSELF OR GET ONE FOR A FRIEND! Just E-Mail me at [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] and on the subject line type My Vacation. I will then send you your free vacation certificate. And I don't know about this particular one, but I have heard/seen a lot of offers on vacation stay for almost free. I even have one cert. but I didnt have time to do /see to it. An associate of mine did go to a vacation stay nearby on this type of deal, but we attended time share presentations. |

darn - i think i've become a skeptic in my old age :^) BUT, i've gotten a few 'free vacation offers' like this in the mail. i'm sure there's a lot of fine print if it's at all legit - e.g., must stay 4 additional nights at double rack rate each night (unless it's just a 'send me $15 & i'll disappear' scam). there's been MANY reports of travelers who 'paid' for hotel rooms in this manner, only to find out the hotel had no record of a ressie or money rec'd when they got there. just my $.02 |

just did a search on ebay for "free hotel"... ebay is littered with these deals (no offense to real litter, which actually had a purpose at one time)... looks like this same deal is offered by many people there... there is way too much fine print for me to post here, but i can tell you the deal stinks... check them out on ebay for yourselves... no offense to the original poster of this thread; keep the deals coming! |

When I was in college I fell victim to one of these scams that I got in the mail in the form of a post card and 888 number. Luckily my Amex took care of it for me. I wouldn't trust them. HOWEVER>>> It is possible to get a vacation for free. I am going to Vegas for Memorial Day weekend and it isn't costing me a thing. (Until I gamble of course ![]() I got an e-mail about it from the official Caesar's website and the phone number was actually for Caesar's Hotel. I get 2 nights deluxe accomidations as well as 2 passes to the spa and a 50.0- credit to one of the restaurants. I would go with my instincts on things like this. Usually if it's too good to be true... PrncsNYC |

I emailed them for the cert. since it doesnt cost anything until you actually do it, at least that's what the site says. And we'll see the fine print, which is usually on the cert. [Edited by kennedy8989 on 03-08-2001 at 10:48 AM] |

| My experience
I tried one of these a few years ago. You had to send in the money first ($10-$15). Then when I called to make reservations, I found out the "subject to availibility" stipulation. After trying to reserve 3 different weeks with no success with no availbility, I gave up. Of course they wouldn't refund my money either. Live and learn. Read the fine print for sure. |

| Watch out for this fine print..
"""Some restrictions on available dates may apply.""" Only speculating here, but they probably have a very limited number of rooms for this program, so getting your preferred date reserved could be difficult. Trouble is you won't know how difficult it will be to reserve the dates you want until after you have sent in your money for processing and handling. The service I tried similar to this one, I filled out the reservation form 3 times for different dates and each time the date I wanted was not available and they requested I pick another. It would have been quicker to have called them to ask which weeks were open, but I didn't bother. No refunds either. |
