Got it from another Board, and thanks to LauraLea who posted it on the other Board: "Click on [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] Search for item number 431048. Add to your cart. Add something cheap to get your order over $100. I suggest Item #ACC72380 Paper Clips ($.16). Next goto check out and use coupon code 91171 for $30 off the order. Here's the breakdown. $99.98 (Staples Price) $30 Coupon (91171) $40 mail-in rebate from Staples. $10 mail-in rebate from Sharp. $.16 (Item #ACC72380 Paper Clips) Total Cost After Rebates: $20.14 " Followup by pookyjo: "Staples rebate expires 11/25/00. Suddu: I am not purchasing this particular item, but I have done it in the past. I have applied their online $off coupons, AND submitted rebate forms both from Staples and manufacturers. Unless I am missing something here (and others feel free to jump right in), if they allow you to use the $ off coupon now I do not see how they can reject your mail-in rebate form and get away with it. More recently I have done it with the BJC3000. I applied a $25 off $75, and a $30 MIR, bringing the total to around $25 after taxes. The online status shows that my MIR application has been accepted (I haven't received the rebate yet; they say they will mail it Dec.3). Of course, it is only my personal experience and view, and I hope you don't hold me liable if it doesn't work out ![]() Good Luck, DK "Rebate applies to Sharp UX300 (SKU 38228 or UX355 (SKU 43104 purchased at Staples stores only. Purchase must be made between November 23, 2000 and November 25, 2000. All requests MUST be postmarked by December 25, 2000. Offer not valid with any other rebates, offers or promotions. Offer valid in US only. Good for actual purchases by end users; excludes resellers and distributors of products and their families. Please allow 8 weeks after claim is received by fulfillment company to receive your rebate. All rebates will be made in US dollars. Manufacturer is not responsible for lost or misdirected mail and illegible entries. Staples logo and product names are trademarks of Staples and their respective companies. One rebate per name/family/address. Fraudulent submission of multiple requests could result in federal prosecution under the U.S. Mail Fraud Statutes (18 USC, Section 1341 & 1342)."
quote:
Originally posted by suddu: Does anybdy know if we can combine, staples coupon & rebate because i just asked a staples rep & she said that we can't as it says so on the rebate form. But the $30 is a coupon that is not specific for the Fax machine. In fact, it is only being used because the price is over $100 (which the fax machine alone is not worth) because of certain other items in the basket (even if only 16c worth of paper clips). I still maintain that if I do it I would expect them to honor both the coupon and the MIR. Just my 2c worth of opinion...
