Anyone need a Scanner?

My daughter called this morning,She is getting me a scanner.
Staples has them for $59.00 with a $50.00 Rebate It only
cost $9.00 You can't find a better price for a new scanner.

Where is the link? What brand is it?, the lowest i found was 79.00 dollars and no rebate.

Please elaborate with DETAILS... Thank you from all of us in need of a scanner!

(By the way I just bought an inflatable boat for 20 dollars!, it was on sale at the US Boats store and the clerk sold it to me even though we were both pretty sure the actual sale price was 199.99 not 19.99 as advertised!.)

Staples BM has visioneer 2400 scanner priced at $59.98 with $50 MIR from Staples and Visioneer. Sku # 450839. It's not avail online, but try calling it in.

Staples rebate expires 2/24, Visioneer rebate expires 5/30.

Staples will have visioneer 4400 on sale next week, and is avail online. Sku #447103, $79.99 with $30 Staples rebate and $30 Visioneer rebate. Use $25 off coupon and they pay you to keep it.

Risk. They may pull it next week like canon bjc-3000, or even run out. Order early. Check tomorrow or Fri for rebate start date (may start earlier than Sunday).

Keep an eye out for the port that comes with it....pretty sure it is a USB (or something like that) and that your puter has that port. Apparently that is the port on the newer computers but if your computer is 3 or more years old, it likely has a parallel port so you won't be able to use this scanner. Here's how you tell....look at the back of your hard drive. The USB port is a small circle with a dent in it and next to the hole will be a symbol that looks somewhat like a pitchfork. THe parallel port is an oval with a bunch of pins it in....probably like the port for your screen or printer. Thought I'd pass this along since I've been there, done that. Bought this for my daughter for Christmas and had to take it back because her puter has a parallel port.....and still haven't found a good deal on one of those!

I got in in time for the 99.98 less 30 coupon less 60 rebate =9.98 on that Cannon 3000 printer. The box says it has both the parrallel and USB ports built in.

Told my neighbor about the visioneer 2400 scanner that is at BM for 59.??-50 rebate this week and she ran there and grabbed one sunday morning. It is USB...they may be out of them by now.

I have a scanner and so do all the computer people i know but but if there is gonna a competely free one online this week..hey I have closet space.

About the parralel port problem..I got a MicroTek ScanMaker scanner this fall..9.98 after rebates that is parrallel..so they are still out there.

personally I consider March the month when new stuff comes out..I am already seeing 46 bit scanners arriving so I am sure the 36 bit scanners are all going to be on sale and practically free after rebate..same thing with printers as new ones come out this spring the discontinued ones (like the Cannon 3000 is discontinued) will be ours to grab nearly free..So lets keep our eyes open ;0)

I don't need a scanner myself 'cause my system came with a Visioneer Scanner.

That was over a year ago and at that time Visioneer was the top-rated low-end priced scanner. Mine has been fantastic and for $9--it's the deal of the year!

I went to the scanner page at Staples and clicked on rebate information. Two rebates appear and one of the $30. rebates has an expired purchase date. I tried the manufacturer rebate link posted and it says you have to have acrobat reader to view. Can someone make the $30. rebate from Visioneer printable? Thanks in advance!!!

I can't get the Visionaire form to come up in a form manner..I just get garbage..HELP PLEASE.

yes at Staples there are 2 forms but only one is for sku 447103 and it is valid..here is a copy of the dates

Scanner is in my cart at Staples..It is USB and it's 42 bit. The one I have is only 36 so why not go for it. Except of course I have to add $20 in stuff to come up to $100..any ideas??

The rebate from Staples asks for a copy of the UPC code and the reciept.
I was able to print both rebate forms with no problem. You can download adobe acrobat for free if you need it.
