Has anyone received the GC for test driving the Chevy Tracker?

Remember the test drive we were unsure about back in December? I faxed mine in on 12-20-00 and haven't heard
a thing back from them yet...starting to get a little worried. Did we ever figure out if this was legit or not?

My neighbor called and actually spoke to somebody in the fulfilment HQ for the Tracker Test Drive and it's legit. The lady she spoke with said they were running late on mailing out the gift certificates but they'd be delivered within 8 weeks.

I heard from GM today, at last! I'd complained numerous times about the delay in getting the gift offered in exchange for taking the Tracker for a test drive. Anyway, the caller said it would be sent out by GM within 3 weeks. Now I've heard that before, but never with them calling me. It has always been the other way around. Let's see what happens.

They actually called me this week too, but they asked if I would accept an American Express gift cheque in lieu of the gift certificate and I said of course. They are supposed to call back in a few weeks to see if I received it. (I had only called them about this 3 times).

Apeller...that is what they offered me as well. It has been so long since I submitted the certificate that I forgot what I was supposed to get. I remembered though that its value was $50. Great deal if we actually get it (and I think we eventually will).

Customer sevice was friendly--and came through with follow up calls and gc as promised. I do wish Mazda came through for me though! I did the test drive back in the fall--the only one I never received! I'll have to try the 800# again, I guess..

I can't remember when I faxed mine in, but it was January something, I believe. I received mine at the end of March. It comes in an envelope that appears to be junk mail, and I almost threw it out without opening it!

I got my Mazda one as well ($50 gift card to Borders/Waldenbooks). That one came at the end of April.

O.K. HERES THE DEAL WITH ME. I CALLED TO SEE WHY I NEVER GOT THE $50.00 G.C. THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD RESEARCH IT AND CAL ME BACK. THE NEXT DAY THEY CALLED TO TELL ME THAT THEY WOULD SEND OUT A $50 American Express gift cheque. TOLD ME THAT THEY HAD BEEN HIT HARD ON THIS PROMOTION. SHOULD HAVE IT IN A WEEK OR SO. THEY ALSO WILL CALL IN TWO WEEKS TO MAKE SURE IT SHOWS UP.
