Macy deal? Question?

I'm sure a lot of you remember the Macy deal. There were a lot of comments. Apparently 2 or more codes were not supposed to be used and some orders were cancelled.

My order was cancelled and that was fine if I used the codes wrong. I didn't intend to use them wrong. Sometimes it really is hard to tell what is intended and what is not.

Today I got an email that my order was coming. I had already figured that it was not, since I got the cancel notification.

Has anyone else got an order confirmation this week after the order was cancelled last week? Now--that is really confusing for me.

I also wonder if they used those coupons or just cancelled them out, cancelled my order, put it back in and then charged full price?

CyndiA- If this is of any help, I have been in contact with a representative of Macy's as he has been refilling my order, and he said that orders made with Macy's charge cards are being honored. I told him that a friends order was honored and she did not use one, and he said that some orders did slip through.
So if you made yours with a Macy's charge, I would think that it should be going through and maybe you can call a csr to confirm that. If not, it was probably canceled, but that doesn't seem to be written in stone, so maybe you'll get a pleasant surprise and get it.

i've received confirmations on all of my orders, even after i got the "cancelled notification". One order received 1/2 yesterday, other 1/2 today. 5-piece odyssey set(pressure cooker) and Liz top. The 3 other orders are saying have been shipped--USPS, and i received confirmation likewise.
Did not use Macy card, have placed other orders w/ Macy's and used same card.(and i did receive email on some of the promo codes)
Was really confusing, and i ordered 2 other tops/pants at JCpenny's that i had placed w/ Macy's, thinking i was not getting them.

I placed two multiple code orders. Received cancel notices on both of them. At the same time, packages started coming.. so far, I have gotten all of the first order, and it has been charged to my card. not sure what's going on with my second order..

for those of you who got cancellation notices and then got your order, did any of the items disappear from your order at their order status page on their site?

Wow! I just checked macys and my cancelled order shipped too! I never got an email about it. I never got ANY email about another order I had placed and now I'm wondering if that one will be on my doorstep some day. Can you check for an order without a #? I might have missed that.

After I got the cancellation email, I got another email saying that my order had shipped. But when I checked my order on the website, it only showed one item - the other three items had disappeared. On Monday I got that one item, and I was charged the discounted price.

This was fine by me, since the item that shipped happened to be the one item I wanted most, and I got it for a great price. Maybe it's good that I didn't get my complete order - I probably didn't need to spend all that money anyway.

I noticed that the order i received a couple of days ago, 3 things were missing, and they were not on the order confirmation either. strange Two of my other orders say they have been shipped but a couple of things in those are missing too.

Thanks for letting me know. This was confusing. I did not get the order yet. I guess it is coming. I think it was one sheet set and a pillow. One sheet set not mentioned on that second email that said the order was coming. Maybe I need to check the order status.

I placed an order for two sets of sheets. The sheets were originally around $65 a set but I had a coupon for 15% off the clearance price. The total came to $45 with postage. I got one set of sheets I had ordered a set of flannel sheets that came in a rose colored print. They sent me a set of solid dark blue. The sheets were so nice I kept them. The other set has not come yet. I called and asked about them and was told they would be sent on Jan. 25. The lady I talked to was very nice. We talked for a few minutes and she took the $8 postage charge off my order. That brought my total down to $37. I still have not gotten my second set of sheets though. I called today and they said they would be shipped any day now. I sure hope so. They are VERY nice sheets.

I talked to CS about missing items from my order (everything except 1 thing !) She said that they tried to cancel all the orders but the computers had already processed some items, which is why some of you are receiving partial orders and the other items just disappeared. She also offered to replace the "missing" items for 15% the sale price. I didn't reorder because I really did not need the stuff. I have been billed for one complete order but only 1 thing came, they are tracking it down ( which is almost impossible with the USPS )......I hope it arrives or they take it off my cc ! All in all they have a good CS, just a confusing system !

Received 2nd order today, actually i think its the entire order. Last one, 3 things were missing, have not checked my CC but will do asap. One of my orders on confirmation, was missing some makeup: Lancome, etc. but havent gotten that one yet. Am anxious to see if that comes. IMO they sorted thru, and shipped things they would not lose money on (as I have compared some of my stuff at other stores) Many of Macys things have always been overpriced.
If any are familiar with Bealls(similar to Dillards and Foleys) stores, when they have their Levi's on sale, and u use senior citizen membership discount(up to 20-30%discount)--MY HUBBY'S!) you can get them for almost the same price u paid using all the (illegal) codes at Macys!

I can't believe it! I got my 10 dollar scooters! They are almost identical to the ones at Sam's that are selling for 79.95 as we speak! the kids are going to love these things!

I got 2 wedding gifts for a friend, paid with my MACYS card and both items were shipped. I used all the codes and got really lucky this time. My brother used all the codes and paid with another credit card and got his order cancelled. Sometimes we do get lucky!!!
