I heard that some people received $10 off, one time use, coupons for Amazon. I am looking to get a Palm, so if you have a coupon and are not going to use it, I really could. Please e-mail me: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or

I got a GC for Amazon, which is why I want to get it from there. I can't imagine buying something online and not using a coupon. If it weren't for the GC I would definately buy from Staples. Thanks for all the replies. |

Would someone mind telling me what a Palm is? Ive seen posts on this item over and over, and have no clue what the hype is. Sincere thanks to whoever considers explaining this one. :-)

a "palm" is a handheld computer/organizer. The easiest way to get specificis is to go to [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or

It's nothing but a really hi-tech personal digital assistant (PDA).. stores email, calender, appointments. etc. and now the palm can run different programs, access the interent. etc. they are really neat to get if you need an organizer and don't want to lug one of those daily planners (plus you never have to restock them) rehan |

Not only can you store appointments, e-mail, to-do lists, etc., you can also synchronize a Palm or Handspring with Outlook (or other similar programs) on your desktop or laptop computer. That way both are always current and correct! I used to tease a friend for relying on his Palm so much, but when I left my full-time job (where I did the same thing every day), and became a contractor (where I was EVERYwhere every day!) I decided to get one. I could live without it now, but not very well! I love having my schedule with me all the time, as well as phone numbers and addresses for friends, family, and clients. I also keep lists and notes on it. I even grocery shop using the lists I create on it. It's definitely improved my memory! You can also download additional programs--many for free!--at sites like [Only registered and activated users can see links. I know a lot of people who have bought them just because they want the latest and greatest gadget, but they never used them after a while. Good PDAs start at about $150 and go up to several hundred dollars, so it's a chunk of $$ if it ends up being a toy you never play with. If you're interested but not really sure what to get, check out [Only registered and activated users can see links. jlburg - I recieved a $10 coupon from amazon recently, but it was only good on dvd/video purchases. You might want to hold out until they offer a better general use coupon - ie I used a $50 off $200 coupon with them to buy a handspring visor for my husband before christmas. Also, on a high ticket item like that, take into consideration where you are having it shipped, and the applicable taxes. I had planned to have the visor shipped to me in California (8.25% tax) but decided to have it sent to my aunt's house in Indiana where we were spending Christmas. Amazingly, no tax was charged! I saved $25 right there! So, if you normally are charged tax with an amazon order, have it shipped to an out-of-state friend who ISN'T, and have them mail it to you for $5!
