I bought a coat at American Eagle in the beginning of Dec, and already it has a run in it that is slowly developing into a rip. I just ordered the same coat again from ae.com (this time $20 cheaper) and I plan to return the old one to the store to get a full refund... and to think, I thought this was a bad thing.

are they like old navy and the gap where you can return your online purchase to a real store if it doesn't fit right????

Yes, you can return it to the store. With free shipping,it's worth ordering even if you're not sure of the fit. Ordered a jacket for my daughter and a couple of shirts.

I rec'd my order today. I am happy with my order except the coat I ordered appeared navy/beige with a navy liner online and in reality is purple/beige with a cream liner. My daughter liked it enough to keep it, but was disappointed in the difference in color. CS was of no help. Anyway, in case anyone ordered the Everest jacket- it is VERY nice, but purple!

Wow I just dropped $177 on clearance merchandise! The discount code has expired but free ship on $75 still works. Do they always have that? As I was shopping the merchandise was changing and many things disappeared including outerwear at great prices. During the checkout process you'll find that items in your cart will say out of stock, but they aren't deleted from your shopping bag. It gets confusing if you go back to shop. Lots of stuff for $7-10! Limited sizes of course. Smaller womens sizes are plentiful.

Thanks for the heads up on the great sale!! I just went and bought some more items myself. Excellent prices, but I had the same problem as you - it looked ike items were in stock, and were in my shopping basket, but were out of stock by the time I got to check out. Frustrating - I missed out on some good deals. Oh well..
