Big grin

Oh my gosh, I can't believe it, just when I was lamenting the fact that I did not get even ONE freebie in the mail today.........I literally had just come in from the mailbox and when I checked my e-mail, there was a letter:

"Congratulations! You've been selected as one of five winners for your participation in a recent OnlineSurveys study on Holiday Etailing. You will receive a check for $100."

Yippee-Yi-Yay!!!!!! You're all invited to come to my house for a swim in the pool to celebrate......tomorrow afternoon. Come on, it'll be fun!!

I'm assuming that is where the indoor pool is - I wouldn't mind taking a dip if it is indoors.

Pipanella, you are too funny! Loved the picture since I've lived in Dayton, Canton, and Columbus. Now living outside of Atlanta and sure glad I'm not dealing with the "white curse" anymore! Congrats on your win! Hey, maybe you can find some nice out of season deals on pool stuff!!!!

Hey You might end up spending that towards the new printer you were wanting!!!! ....Looks like you have a while before you need to spend money on the chemicals!!!!! Stay inside and print away!

Pipanellq, a mighty big congratulations- you are VERY LUCKY INDEED! I would say todays the day to buy a LOTTO ticket. Call hubby at work and have him pick one up on the way home from work! lol

I'm in Granville, are you anywhere nearby? The Harry and David employee sales are occasionally open to the public...

barbaralarry~

no lottery ticket today, when i told hubby, he said, "it really does pay to be on the internet," which is a BIG BIG plus for me, him saying that.

i think he has resigned himself to being an internet widower, and now that i've won something, well......you know! (relieves me of a teeny, tiny tad bit of guilt!)

i know where granville is, there is some college there, can't remember its name. i'm over west, actually near fort wayne, indiana, but still in ohio.

Hi again,

Yes, there is a major university (Dennison) here, and Granville is very "Norman Rockwell", we have benches downtown where people sit and shoot the breeze... there is a walkway across downtown where traffic yields to pedestrians in the middle of the street. Our schools are #2 in the United States. Its very country-like, many are on acreage. Others in whats called "The Village" have virtually no yard, but huge houses. This would be downtown. I dont know much about it yet, we just moved here in May from Idaho---- way out west compared to here! We're almost all the way East, and yet its called the "MidWest" HOW... pray-tell, is that?

We plan to see as much of the East as possible before we move again. Any suggestions? Definitely Disneyworld is in our summer forecast...

ILUV2SHOP~ Thanks for the tip on the USB cable! I have a parallel cable, which I could use, but I'd rather use the USB. The one at Office Max was way more than that. Outpost.com is great, I've ordered many times from them.

barbaralarry~ Well, we certainly aren't 'east,' that would be as in the east coast. The midwest is just that middle part of the country. Actually, the more accurate term for where we are is the Great Lakes Region.

As for where to visit? Here are my two top suggestions: Mackinac Island, Michigan, and Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob homes in the Laurel Highlands of western Pennsylvania. Both very, very nice.
