MCI-Amazon $150 GC OVER?!?

I just spoke to a telephone representative at MCI who told me that the $150 Amazon GC deal is over. The reason I called was because I signed up with the promo on 12/26/00 and still have not received my welcome packet with switching check, calling cards, and the $150 Amazon GC.

The rep told me that a lot of people were having trouble not receiving the GC or not noticing it printed on the paper with the calling cards and throwing them away. So that's why they discontinued the offer.

So my question to everyone here is this...Is there anyone out there who took advantage of this promo offer on or after December 26, 2000 who has received their Amazon GC??? The rep on the phone could not tell me whether I got in before or after the cutoff.

I am pretty sure when the offer was listed on their website that the offer stated it was good until Dec. 31, 2000.

I called them yesterday because I signed up two weeks before Christmas and haven't seen anything. No welcome packet at all. She submitted the information again and said that it should now be resolved. They didn't say anything about it being over.

I switched to MCI using the website and then called on Dec. 30 to make sure it had happened. They had no record of it. I wanted to make sure I had been switched before the deadline Dec. 31. I did it over the phone and the cs rep was very helpful and also gave me 420 minutes free because I asked. I was glad I followed up before the deadline. I received the gift certificate and a check for the minutes to be applied to the account. Great deal, almost missed out. I don't know if you can tell them you had signed up previously or not. I signed up at the beginning of DEC and called a few days ago because I ahd not gotton my GC. The first time I called they said it was over and they would send me a $75 calling card. But I called back 2 days later and asked to speak to a supervisor and the guy asked what it was about and I told him that I never got my GC. He said they sent me a $75 calling card and I said that I signed up and was suppossed to get the $150 amazon GC and I expected to get it, they could keep the calling card and he said they would resend it to me. GOOD LUCK!!!

I signed up on 12-30 and received the GC on 1-8

i signed up my 3rd line before end of year(got 2 GC's after thanksgiving), and got the calling cards last week, but no GC, called and they said they'd send it out. Got new calling cards yesterday(activated)but no GC. Called CS and they said it was mailed out on 1/5 -- takes 7-12 business days. Gonna wait and see. Heard ATT is now offering $50 GC, not as good but may switch over.
