I tried not entering my credit card, and it didn't go through. So I tried entering a random number starting with 4111 and it went through. In case they decide that they'll charge everyone for the mispricing, I didn't want them to have my cc#.

Hmmm..most likely a HUGE mistake on the site, but guess what? That didn't stop me..hee hee..but..I think they may have caught the error because now it won't allow me to finish the checkout process..the address bar showed it would be a confirmation page, but all it had on it was..something to the affect of you had no orders showing..then when I tried it again, it kept taking me back to the page w/ the shipping options and payment info..BTW..I was using the Visa overide code because no way was I taking a chance of really being charged...oh well..if it sounds to good to be true it probably is, but no harm in trying Thanks for the post!

This is hilarious!!! I just went to my email and there's a confirmation letter for the "5 games I ordered"...lol..now ppl. the site never did show my order as being confirmed..I bet I did that whole process 20 times!! LOL! I wonder if I'll get confirmation emails for all of them!!! LOL! Too funny! Time will tell!

Its a wonder how these e-stores keep in business......they can not even keep their items priced right....Free is really nice for me.

You know, if we each ordered just one, they might honor it. But 20? C'mon. I have seen deal after deal ruined b/c folks take advantage. Most recently- a 50 GC to Ashford... when some kids on another board used fifty of them each... Ahsford puled the whole thing. Remember the buy.com fiasco last year? Another 50$ thrown away b/c of a few bad apples.

I know some of you want to sell the stuff, or share it with freinds... but you havent any shot of getting even ONE if you are gredy enough to try to get twenty!

A friend of mine used the term "cyberlooting" to describe this kind of situation. Its analagous to having people carrying off TVs through a broken plate glass window in real life, only now we're carrying off sega games through the WWW instead (plus all this is quite legal!).

I'm not sure if its any less or more moral/ethical (depending on what you profess in terms of morality, of course) to order one versus 20 games, however.

I am just quite amazed that online sites don't have strict safeguards against this kind of thing.

First, if you take the tone of the other posts, we're all having fun. I don't think anyone seriosly thinks we are going to get these. Bu it's fun... until someone like you makes a comment about us taking advantage of on "offer". It's a mistake no doubt. As for offers, most of us do follow the policies of the different companies. As for that Ashford code thing, maybe you should post that remark on the board that took advantage of the code.
I don't appreciate being called "greedy" by someone who has no idea who I am. You could have gotten your idea across in a better way without insulting the people that have posted here.
In cases of mistakes like this, if the companies honor the price at all, the will usually honored it on only one anyway.

I see now why poeple don't post too often.

Let me just state for the record, because I do believe I "worded improperly"..I meant I had received an email 5 times, but I bet I did it 20 times..why..I never got a confirmation page and I kept hitting the back button and then proceed..so far no other emails have come in. The order I kept submitting was for ONE game.

Boy..the last couple of days sure has been full of short fuses.
