What is wrong with the search function?

Out of curiosity, I did a search for walmart.com. Once it brought up alot of info including the latest walmart code/gift card deals. But if I narrowed my search to certain forums, mainly Internet Deals, I either got no matches or matches from july. I think this is why there are many reposts although I personally don't mind them. Wasn't there some discussion on this before? Maybe someone can fill me ( and obviously others) in on this. Am I doing something wrong here?
Of course I know this is the wrong forum, but the most visited. Maybe we can figure this out.
