Those PlayStation games do require some serious power. My old AMD 300MHz system won't handle them, either. Here's a link to the spec sheet, including system requirements for PC and Mac: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] Here's a link to Connectix's web site for more info: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] The site includes a list of games they've tested with the program. This software does not support every PlayStation game on every system, so you'll wanna check their site before you buy. Then again, if it's free, what have you got to lose?

Yes, the minimum is listed as a 266 processor, but it says "400 Mhz recommended". From personal experience, take those "recommended" statements seriously! The minimums listed means that the program is able to start on your computer... not that it will be usable at all. There's nothing more frustrating that waiting for a few minutes for the title screen to come up, and then see a jerky, unplayable game following it. I have to upgrade my computer annualy just to keep up with the games that are coming out! (My wife does not approve or endorse these actions). -ChipsNDip |
