Sorry to sound cynical, but don't count on it getting there for Christmas! I ordered a bunch of stuff on December 5th that said it would ship in 2-3 days and it still hasn't gone out.

I would be really mad if it weren't free (thanks to the great MCI deal). They say that the "ships in 24 hours" or "ships in 2-3 days" is only an estimate and they can't guarantee anything. But of course they don't put that on the site when you are ordering.

I agree! Down with amazon!! I ordered two cameras on Nov. 29 - said they would ship in 1-2 weeks, still plenty of time to get them before Christmas. Now they are delayed another two weeks so they won't be in until January! I emailed them and got a stupid pat answer.

Chalk another one up to their famous (but highly unlikely) "Ships in 2-3 days" line. I ordered on Dec.6th including both items with 24 hour and 2-3day shipping and still nothing has shipped. They changed the estimated ship/delivery dates on my order and didn't even let me know!! So much for their focus on customer service and satisfaction!! This will be the last year I shop at Amazon.

gosh that's too bad that so many people have been disappointed by amazon. I suppose I'm lucky because I never made the amazon purchase after finding many of the items today at Target for less. I was going to come home and order on-line if not. Makes me wonder about on-line shopping altogether (except for those awesome free shipping + discount coupon deals). Magical Mermaid Barbie, for example, is $18.99 at Target and $24.99 on amazon.com.

Same here with me. First I had to wait until last Friday to get my FreeRide certificate because of their stupid site. I order immediately so that I can get the free shipping. One item says 2-3 days shipping. OK, no problem. I even checked my order last night and it said not shipped, but the estimates were still the same. Now today I go in and guess what....the 2-3 day item (which is a set of CDs, not something huge and spectacular) is now 1-2 weeks with an estimated delivery dates of 12/26-1/8!!! Geez.....the last time I looked 1-2 weeks from when I ordered it is no later than 12/22!! Now they can't even count!! Of course the free shipping required you to have your order shipped all at once, so they are ALL delayed!! Which not only screws my hubby out of a gift, but also my daughter and my daughter's friend who has been waiting for her birthday gift for 2 months!!! But I can't cancel the one item as that would put me under the $100 limit for the free shipping........damned if you do and damned if you don't!!!

Why did it take them a week to decide that they didn't have something in stock? Can't their computers count that low, or did I get bumped down because of using certain FreeRide certificates versus someone with hard cold cash?????

THEN...my MasterCard decides to send me an email with a $15 Amazon certificate attached that they were supposed to send in last weeks email....so sorry, they say. But when I try to attach it to the order which is just sitting there like a lump, they tell me that promotional certificates can only be used when the original order is placed. AAAAGGGGHHHH!!!

This day, FreeRide and Amazon all are on my naughty, not nice, list!!!

I posted yesterday about their delayed shipping. I sent a nasty-gram to every amazon email address I could find. A miraculous thing happened. I started getting emails that things were shipping. Even though they were all supposed to go at once, a few things here and there started going out. By the end of the day everything has been shipped. Maybe there is hope after all.

I was hoping to get a gift certificate or something for my complaints but of course all I get is a cookie-cutter apology email.

I'm begining to think that since they are not making money off the MCI gift certificate orders, we are LAST priority when it comes to shipping. I placed my order 12/6 & and still waiting.

Man, I'm really sorry to hear about all your problems........don't give up hope though, cause when I ordered my camera a little while ago, it shipped in 1-2 days, and got here about ten days from when I had ordered it, which I considered pretty good for the holiday season.
