Has any one tried this yet? Any positive or negative experiences? [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or
Register Now] I got it in my mailbox today. Apparently you can pay $ 100 a month and call for 2500 minutes. It works out to 4 c a min, which is way too cheap for calls to places like India. $ 139.95 gives 5000 minutes and $ 199.95 gives 6000-6500 minutes. Apparently they take credit cards from Oct. 5, until then it seems to be money orders only. I am still a bit skeptical while I am trying to find out the details, so it will help a LOT if someone who actually used/ uses their products can speak up ![]() TIA, DK |

maybe you should check out [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or
Register Now] you get your calls for free from there. Ive been using them for more than a year now. Its a phone to phone deal, not thru the internet. What you do is make a call, you cant spend over $5 USD (you have to find out what the rate to India is and divide it into $5). and then a couple of days later your call gets registered on your online account, you can then zap one phone call per day off your account. I find sometimes they wait too long to put your calls on your account and if youve made quite a few you might end up paying for one of them as you only have 5days to get rid of each call. The rate is still pretty cheap even if you pay for it. The whole year Ive been using it and made plenty of overseas calls I might have paid $20-$30 in calls I forgot to zap. (Australian dollars) read all the rules and see if its for you. ------------------ just trying to link this dang thing [This message has been edited by tinypoohbear (edited 09-14-2000).] [This message has been edited by tinypoohbear (edited 09-14-2000).] [This message has been edited by tinypoohbear (edited 09-14-2000).] |

but bigredwire's volts are 'depreciated' significantly recently. It used to be 500 volts for $5, now it is about 3000 volts for $5. It is very hard to earn 3000 volts a day.I still have about 12000 volts there, plan to use them up and quit. ($8 cancel fee!). The advantage is you never pay any tax. If u zap them quite often and u end up with paying almost nothing. Their CS is resposive when i sign up several month ago, but now they never reply your email (such as bad connection charge, etc.) and email is the only way to get in touch with them. They use Global crossing (if u buy stocks, u may know this name). Line quality for Intl call is not stable(sometimes just keep silence but on the record it shows you are calling!) but very good for US domestic calls.
