NYC cheap, clean chain motel

I typically don't stay overnite in the city, I take the last bus home. I was just screwing around, researching a possible trip coming up in December with my little bro, where we may stay there a couple days. Heres an interesting cheap hotel:

It is the Comfort Inn on Central Park West. I found some really good rates, more availiability. Great location, halfway betw Am Mus Natural History and Midtown. They are owned by choice hotels ([Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now]) which owns many different chains, if you are a member of any of those chains clubs you can type in your member number. I found great rates even w/o any promo codes.

The new Hojo Express in Soho is a great hip location, but it is sold out a lot.

(of course, there are Y's, places with shared bathroom,hostels etc. But these are the cheapest private bath national chain motels I've seen)

Another note, the Super 8 in times Square is pretty expensive

It brought up $129 a night for me. I have been reaserching for my trip to NYC and this is higher than some I have found. Hojo near the empire state with private baths was $99 a night, found another (can't remember what national chain it was) for $89.

I am staying for two weeks so I will probably do a vacation rental instead of a hotel, it is A LOT cheaper (more then 50% on some) than a hotel on a long stay.
