Shocked Free CD-ROM Games from General Mills!

For a limited time, in specially marked packages of participating General Mills cereals, consumers will find one of five Atari family CD-ROM games, including Backyard Baseball™ and such classic board games licensed from Hasbro as MONOPOLY, SCRABBLE, CANDY LAND and OPERATION. You can actually see which game you are getting on the front of the box, making it easy to collect all 5!

In addition to the cereal promotions, consumers will find different Atari CD-ROM games or free mail-in offers for other games on or near specially marked packages of General Mills brands including Pop Secret, Bugles, Gardetto's, Chex Mix, Old El Paso, Pillsbury, Totino's and Betty Crocker (frosting). Atari games featured include RollerCoaster Tycoon® and classic board games licensed from Hasbro Consumer Products including YAHTZEE, SCATTERGORIES, THE GAME OF LIFE and BOGGLE.

From what I can see in the coupon section, it looks like Old El Paso double packs of Taco Dinner Kits and also the Betty Crocker individual frosting cans come with an actual game. Toaster Strudel and Totino's are a mail-in offer: 2 UPCs and $1.25 s/h for Roller Coaster Tycoon. I can't tell what the deal is with Pop Secret, Bugles, Gardetto's and Chex Mix.

This is probably a great way for GM to get rid of the old versions of these games (they now own Parker Brothers).

Anyone know which computers the games are compatiable with? Because I have been having a hard time finding games for my MAC. Thanks Sharon

according to the box they say IBM PC or 100% compatible computer for each of the games. I assume that means no for the mac.

sorry,

Karen
