That's a great deal! I've been buying a lot of Duracell batteries at our local Super Fresh. The Giant Food stores here only double coupons up to $.50, but Super Fresh will double $1.00. Their Duracells are on sale for $2.88 and with a $1.00 off coupon, I've been getting them for $.88 a pack.

Aren't the coupon deals fantastic ?? We had a Wegmans store open in out town in May and we have had coupon and price wars ever since. Good for the consumer!

I have always felt odd in our town , where very few shoppers appeared to use coupons. There are many dual income professor families here near the PSU campus. But my husband and I are basicly in the middle income range and have a son in college too. The coupons help so very much. In fact , I have been able to get items for our son's place and our home that I never would have bought before double coupons.

I can imagine the newspaper locally makes out well too with the price wars. The Wegmans and Weis stores have taken out comparison ads - full page ads - for weeks here in town.

I enjoy shopping at Giant now , and seeing many other ladies using the coupons like I do. In fact , hubby no longer complains . He loves the values too and helps to find the items in the store for me.

Couponing as a family affair !!

Hey, Beanie, we must be neighbors. I live about 20 min from State College. I admit, I rarely use coupons, but I generally shop store brands, so I figure I make out better. I've been buying groceries a lot at the Supercenter, although I love Wegmans.

I didn't realize Giant was doubling $1 coupons. I rarely shop there.

Do you mean Wally world ? It took me a bit to figure out what you meant by supercenter. It seems our son likes to go there with my husband to shop at times.

Yes, the Giant here over on College Ave. - that is where I often shop. We live in Boalsburg . They double any coupons up to $1.00 in value. And they often put coupon triplers in their ad in the CDT. They only allow you to use 6 triplers at one visit. And their ads in the front of the store do not have the triplers in them. So the only way to get them is from the Sunday CDT .
