Well, I finally got my order confirmation.
Unfortunately 2 of the 3 items I ordered now say "no longer available."
Now they want to charge me $5.90 shipping for the one item left which only cost $2.99.
I'm going to try to cancel my order completely.

The good news..
They did accept the 15% code I used.

Newport News used to accept any unexpired code on any order, but for the last 6 months or so, they have had someone check these codes after you receive email or phone confirmation. In my case, all my codes were then deleted. Most codes come with a catalog and are meant to be used on that catalog. I was ordering clearance merchandise. You might be able to use them if you had an order with full-priced and clearance merchandise, but I haven't tried that yet.

I got a notice in the mail from them today that NONE of my order is available. What a terrible way to run a website!!

First I emailed them, then I thought it would be quicker to call them. When I called to cancel the order, I was told that two of the items weren't available and the one already went out. I told her that I did not want to pay all the money for shipping one item. She said she would send me a return slip so that I could return it. After I got off the phone I thought about it and wasn't sure if they would credit me the shipping.

Then I got a reply to my email.
"In reply to your recent inquiry, we apologize that we were unable to fulfill
your complete order. We have credited your card used the shipping and
handling charges incurred to ship the one item. You should see this credit
within one to two billing statements. I apologize for any inconvenience
this may have caused you."

I guess I get to keep the item and they will still credit the shipping charges. Now that is more like it. They should have let me know that all the items I wanted were not available and make sure that I still wanted to continue with the order.
