we've bought atlantic & samsonite pieces at stern's (now macy's) during their luggage close-out sales. one EX: samsonite softside uprights ~ under $20!! ~ same piece over $100 at a luggage store in the mall. btw, we found the "better" brands a must when traveling by plane (they're MUCH more durable & easier to manuever). the "less expensive" were great for car travel ~ but didn't survive "airline torture" well. it might be worth checking B&M's like macy's, sears, etc, especially if you only need one piece. hth, laurie s |

If you are near one, I always find great deals at the LL Bean outlet. If you don't mind someone else's initials on it, you can get a fabulous deal, sometimes up to 80% off
