Any suggestions? My sister got the cutest little bishon frise/cocker spaniel puppy last week. I never new how fast he would become a member of our family! So now he is being spoiled like a brand new baby!!! It is getting kind of expensive!!! Any ideas on where to get some cheap or free puppy stuff? You guys are the greatest!!!

I guess this is a tiny bit off topic... but I have some free advice. DEFINITELY be sure to socialize your new baby. Make sure he/she gets a chance to play with other dogs (preferably off-leash in a safe area) and with humans of all ages. There is no creature more unhappy than a poorly socialized dog. Once your dog has had the necessary vaccinations, you may want to see if there are any doggie day care facilities in your area where your dog can go and play a day or two a week. I know it's hard to be away from the baby, but really if you EVER plan to travel in the next 18 years, it's very important to give your dog a dose of independence early on to prepare for future boarding... not just for him, but also for yourself. I'm sorry if this was a bit off topic, but so may people overlook this very important part of being a doggie parent. Good luck with your new baby! -Jen. |

That is great advice! I wouldn't have thought of it! I don't want doggie with a social disorder!!! I love the idea! Doggie daycare! What will they think of next! I like that too because at some point someone will have to doggie sit and I wouldn't want either party to have a hard time! Thanks for the input!!!
