I took a decorating class once, and she told us you can trace a picture onto the cake and then fill it in with frosting. Those children's coloring books with the big pictures are great for this. Just cut out the picture, lay on the cake and then trace around it with a toothpick. If you can't find a wolf, you might try this.

You could do it either way. I personally, would probably smooth it out. If you slightly dampen your fingers and smooth over the frosting this will work really good. Star tipping would be lots easier, but I think the results would be better the other way.

No problem. If you have anymore questions, I'll be glad to help. I have decorated a few cakes although I am by no means a professional. I made my dh one one year. He is a big fan of "cophenhagan tobacco", so I made a round cake and decorated it to look like a cophenhagen can. It was really cute, and looked like the real thing. I have made several "bikini cakes"--those are easy and cute. Anyway, let me know if you have anymore questions.

For my parents aniversery last year Elf had a picture of them printed on a transfer that she put on the cake. She sent a picture from their wedding to someplace online and got the cake transfer in the mail.Someone here may know the place she got it from. You could get it done with a wolf photo.
