FOOD DEHYDRATOR ???

My husband has just decided he LOVES dehydrated beef and turkey,and that gets expensive !!! So do any of you know where to get a good dehydrator at a GREAT price?? I've never even thought about one before so I have no idea!!

Mine is from Wal-mart years ago.Friends of mine just use their ovens set to a very low,I will ask them what temp and for how long.

You could try either of these. They are supposed to have a good guarantee. My ex ordered a cheap imitation through Fingerhut once and it melted the first time she tried to use it.

Using the oven is an idea, but using 110 volts, for a dehyrdrator, over 220 (or is it 240) for an electric stove oven - even on low, could pay for itself over time. I have no idea of the cost comparison with a gas oven as its been so long since I've had a gas stove, I have no idea what the cost would be.

I haven't used these stores myself, but the price looked good in comparison to other stores for the same item, so you may want to watch out for S/H and/or tax.
