I don"t know about any coupons for H & R Block but you can go here and e-file your taxes for next to nothing or even for free depending on your income. You just fill in the forms with your information and they do all of the figuring. We have used it for the last 2 years and love it. *****************************************************Prepare Your Taxes Online

In Sunday Jan 27 Paper Parade section there is an insert for H&R Block to recheck your last years taxes for free otherwise that service costs $25.00

I used to go to H&R Block 3 years and felt cheated ripped off like the CPA didn't know what they were doing, now found a terriic CPA for 45 CASH does our simple short forms and gets us tons back used him 3 years now!

I went through this link and when I got to the payment page it had the full amount listed, no 30% discount, not sure why.

Be VERY careful about letting them do your taxes!! Not only are they expensive I am not sure some of them know what they are doing!! This year we filed with them and they screwed our return up so bad it isn't funny!! We are having to take it to a CPA to get it straightened out!! Be careful!!!

Thumbs up Try this...

I agree, H&R Block sucks. They usually hire their workers before tax season, put them through a crash course and them let them do people's taxes. I prefer to do my own. The IRS website has "e-file partners" listed, which is sites that offer electronic filing. There are some that offer FREE tax preparation if you meet their income guidelines, but there is also one that is offering free tax filing if you live in Manhattan, NY or the surrounding Washington D.C. area. If you don't qualify for free, they list other sites which will prepare your taxes for reasonable fees. I test-drove a few before I decided on one as some don't charge you till you're ready to submit your forms electronically. Taxslayer was the cheapest I found ($9.95 to file state and federal) but it gave me a measly refund (we itemize) and didn't offer too much help along the way. Tax-engine.com was so-so. I finally went with CompleteTax.com. Total cost- $17.95 to prepare and file my state and federal returns. Anyhow, enough rambling. Here's the link to the sites available:
