| I need an MP3 player
I'm looking for one for my niece. She wants one that has expandable memory, and won't be obsolete in 3 months. Her budget is under $150. I don't know diddly about these. Anyone have any good ideas?

there are plenty of options out there. i'd probably stay AWAY from an MP3 player that requires memory and go with something else such as ... 1. a kenwood MP3 CD player. it costs much less and despite having to actually burn the CDs, i'd rather spend $80 or so and burn 1200 songs onto only 10 CDs instead of having to exchange memory all of the time. that's just me, though. 2. another alternative is a nomad jukebox. they are pricier, however, they have a model that runs $175 but it's a 6 GB hard drive. you can store up to 1500 songs, not have to mess with CDs, and have all of the songs you want stored in one location. those are just suggestions, of course. i just purchased a kenwood MP3 CD player, so i'm a tad biased. very happy, though |

i don't know if you are still wanting an MP3 player, but i saw a great deal i couldn't resist. i found a kenwood 722, portable MP3 player that retails for $159 for a mere $80. if you are interested, let me know. this is a player that plays CDs. it is not a "hard drive" like the nomad jukebox. i got one for myself and an extra one i'm sure i won't have trouble getting rid of. |
