Question Anyone use Netflix?

I am interested in using them to rent DVDs, but with the delays in the mail, am wondering if it's worth it. I would have to watch a minimum of 6 movies a month for it to be worthwhile. Can anyone share their experience? Thanks!

I used them until Aug this year. They started out out quite well a year ago but service degraded by the day. Customer service very bad. You see all their advertisements all over the web right now.
For me it is a definite sign of a site going under with a big bang.
The only other site is rentmydvd.com. I have not used them yet but they seem to care about their customers . Look in this thread

I have been a using Netflix since August 2000. I enjoy their services. I am averaging about 8 to 10 movies per month. It usually takes 4 days each way to mail the movies. I can have 4 movies out at one time for 19.95 per month, although I beleive that the rates may have changed since I joined. If you are interested they often have free trials or I could send you a referral with a free trial.

I also received an email today about another DVD rental service called neorental with a two week free trial. This is the link. [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now]

This is the link for their rates, etc.

Good luck and let me know if you are interested in the referral.
Also I beleive that you can go through MyPoints to sign upfor Netflix.

I love NetFlix. Its incredibly convinent and the selection of DVDs, esp. foreign, is astounding and far better than the other ones our there. Its pretty cheap considering other places too.

If you do sign-up, I suggest you try going through Ebates, and get five bucks cash-back.

happy holidays

I have been using Netflix for quite a while, and we average at least 12 movies per month. I really like that there are no late fees, they always let us know when they have received movies and what's shipping next. It's kind of a nice thing to get in the mail. Blockbuster has that deal in the summer for 30 movies a month for $20, but not in the winter, so Netflix works out great for us.

I also really appreciate their selection of family/cartoon/disney type DVDs, and the fact that you can rent some older ones that Blockbuster doesn't always have.

We haven't had any issues with service at all.

Love

I recommend Netflix to anyone in California...especially if you live in the Bay Area. They are located in San Jose, and since I am in the Bay Area, if I mail them a DVD, they get it the next day! Then they send me a DVD the same day and I get it the next day! So, it takes less than a week!
