Need CC-my rating sux...Anyone have experience with Aspire Visa?

After 4 surgeries within 3 years,I aquired a lot of medical debts.Needless 2 say,my credit rating now sux!

I'd like 2 get a CC. I'm ok with the high APR % because I'll just charge what I can pay off. I'd like 2 use this as a means of repairing my credit rating,so I don't care about qualifying 4 a high credit limit.

What I don't want is a secured CC or one of those where they tell you you have a $500.00 credit limit & they eat up all of that with their fees.

I don't want one with $79 annual fee,$89 use fee, $50 app. fee,etc.

I understand I may have to shell out some money in order to get an unsecured CC~I'm ok with that...as long as its reasonable.

I've heard Aspire Visa works with people who have poor credit ratings.Anyone have experience with them?

i had an aspire visa card for almost two years, my credit rating was not that good (i started establishing it two yrs ago), they approved me with no annual fee and 1.500 $ credit limit, the only problem is that usually they do not report the account on your credit report, you have to send them a letter requesting it.
right now they increased the credit limit to 4700.00 that is pretty good but the interest rate they charge me is still outrageous: 24%.
thx

My husband and I had this problem while back. He did not have any credit (which to the creditors is as bad as bad credit) and I had bad credit from a previous relationship.

I know that you said that you did not want a secured card but I would suggest Providian. That is the card that I started with. They may or may not want a deposit but they match yor deposit plus 50% again and they are very good about upping your limit if you make timely payments. Also you can add to your original deposit to increase your limit. I started out with a 500 dollar deposit out of choice and now have a 9000 credit limit.

Also a good one is Capital One. They have higher APR% and some do charge an annual fee but usually only 39 to 59 dollars. They don't like to give many credit increases though. But they will approve you even with not great credit.

There are also some sites that will give you a list of credit cards that you qualify for depending on your status and info. Sorry that I don't have any web addresses off hand.

Good luck!!
