That site says that the oem version requires "hardware purchase"...i'm wondering what your DH bought? Can you also buy a $10 memory stick? or do they require a $100 harddrive?

By the way, if you can live with an upgrade version, the upgrade version is $99 at staples. With that, you get free memory, software, and either a decent digicam or cd-rw.

I'm thinking about buying the xp to get the freebies and then selling the xp and keeping the freebies!

I'd rather do that than pay $10 less (maybe even the same amount with shipping) for the full version, unless you need the full version of course!

It will be interesting to see how quickly the price comes down...might stay up awhile.

He didn't buy anything else - just two copies of the XP Full version. Its supposed to be delivered today! We didn't need the full version, he just bought it because he figured for $10 more, he'd get the full version.
