I'm guessing this is a 2-3 year old software that is out of production. As far as I can tell, the company that wrote it is also gone. I doubt you'll find it at a "new software" seller (like amazon), so you might be forced to go to places like ebay. FWIW, I wouldn't hesitate to buy this from an ebay seller. I am very familiar with ebay, computers, fraud, etc., and typically it doesn't happen in low-cost, obsolete software products. however, I think its overpriced here...$9 + $5 shipping sounds too high for me (but if it works for you, go for it!). I suspect if you "wait and watch" you might find it there cheaper eventually, since the current seller isn't getting much action on this batch. Look for it to be $5.99 in two weeks... |

Its a classic pattern at ebay. Seller buys a bunch of discontinued software for a buck or two, offers it for around $10, sees who will go for it, then it appears in a few weeks a couple of bucks lower. Most software of this type eventually ends up at $5 (plus the "usual" $5 shipping cost where he makes a buck or two more). It didn't appear to be getting too many bids, so I'm betting it will be lower soon. By the way, since you are new to ebay, be aware that about half (or more) of the bids on an item come in at the last minute, so don't be disappointed if you are winning at $2.50 with 5 minutes to go and end up losing at the last second. Just bid how much you want and if you win, great, if not, rarely does an item not appear in a week or two again... |

![]() i do like the feature that i can e-mail sellers and ask queetions. i have done that and they have all replied. i should probably do what you say, and just bid last minute, if i'm around a computer and can remember when the bidding ends... my boyfriend has bought something off ebay before but he did the 'buy it now' option and did not really end up bidding anyway but his merchandise came promptly and packaged well bye bethie |
