I need a new notebook computer and need it really cheap! So does anyone know where I can find a good deal? Refurbished is fine with me as long as it is under warranty.
Thanks for the help!

there are two places i'd look, [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] and [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] under the "compusa auction" section.

the drawback at ubid is that for refurbs, you only get a 90 day limited warranty whereas at compusa, you get a one year warranty. their auctions are also NOT set up to be extended if a bidder bids at the last minute. so, if you bid the last minute or two and end up with a winning bid, there's a high chance you'll get the notebook. i love sniping

email me if you need further assistance.

Unfortunaely, "really cheap", "notebook computer" and "warranty" don't often work well together.

Try the major mfg's web sites for refurbs. Also try egghead.com's auction site; they used to have auctions of older, but still-under-warranty, computers.

If you are paying $20 a month for internet access consider the various "$400 off if you sign up for 3 years of access" deals that are around.

Hope this helps, but profit margins on notebooks are still reasonably high, so its hard to get one really cheap. The key to saving money on notebooks is to carefully understand exactly how much power and features you need, since incremental stuff on notebooks tend to be very pricy. If you only need, say, to write documents and surf the web look for an older model with no bells ad whistles.

hope this helps.

I can't say that this is cheap, but definitely good value for your money. They sell refurbished with same as new warranties:
