| hi bethie, no, i don't know of any other clubs, but will give you my favorites, which you can probably pick up used (and cheap!) at yard sales or book sales; 1) "the joy of cooking" (this is my all time most filthy dirty dog-eared cookbook. you can find recipes for using a specific ingredient - i.e. hmmmm, i bought too many strawberries/turnips/pork butts, now what am i going to do with them?? - or a recipe for the dish you want to make.) 2) anything from cooking light or food and wine. the first (obviously) has healthful stuff, w/o it tasting "healthful", the later for more sophisticated recipes. i use both of mine often. 3) the betty crocker red and white checked one. i refer to 3 times a week. 4)any cookbooks from religious organizations or junior leagues are chock full of yummy, not heart healthy, great for entertaining recipes. i also enjoy my mollie katzen/moosewood series, and susan branch's "heart of the home", but they are almost more for reading (for me) than cooking. hope you enjoy!! paula. |

| It's not a book club but I adore Taste of Home. You subscribe for one of their cooking mags (TOH or Quick Cooking) and then they offer you the option to buy volumes of their cookbooks. I get a lot of raves. I have also seen the TOH cookbooks on half.com |

| Literary guild's address is their name. I think its just literaryguild.com. For more cooking ideas try FoodTV.com. This is the website that goes with the cable channel. Check out Alton Brown in the show Good Eats! |

| Yard sales and garage sales almost always have them. Try thrift and gift shops like the senior citizens run. Also, try used book stores. They usually have them around. I must confess before I became allergic to alot of foods, I was a super cook. I have tons of recipes I pulled out of magazines. Ask your library what they do with the mags after they have expired. Ours keeps them for a certain number of months. We have a table where they sale like two for 15 cents. You can pick up Sunset or Southern living that way really cheap. Southern Living is usually packed with recipes. Try the diff internet recipe sites. Happy cooking ![]()
