AHA (American Homeowners Association) has some of the best prices I have seen anywhere
as I have searched for a vacuum

I got mine back in Feb from jcpenney.com for a total of 286.32 shipped (model #U5750-900)

There are several at Amazon, (free shipping on household and kitchen items) $279.00 to 329.00 depending on what kind you want. Also, Ourhouse.com has several $239-$309 Going by your price you listed Im assuming you wanted the self propelled upright(?) Its $279.99 at Amazon.

Just found one at electronicsemall.com for $249.00 (self propelled one)

I think you will like it, I have the older model, like you were going to get, and I love it! Now I'm trying to justify getting the newer one with the powerwand for downstairs and using my old one for upstairs!
