| I have found rates as good as 5.0% APY on 6 month CDs with minimum $1000 deposit in FDIC-insured bank. Please post the names (and URL if possible) of any bank you know that is giving even better rates. Thanks.

| The bank that I have my account at has good rates, but has an amazing rate on something called an e-checking account. They just switched the minimum balance to 100 dollars (or a $5 fee), but the best part is their interest rate - it started out at around 6.50% and is down to 6.25 or something like that. The account has no fees to it (with at least 100 as the balance) has no restrictions whatsoever - you can put 1,000,000.00 in today and take it out tomorrow and they wouldn't care. I love the place. The name of the bank is AmericanBank (I think) and the url is: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] hope this helps! wow! I just went to check out their site and the interest rate is down to 5.40% - this is still the best I know for an account that doesn't tie up your money at all. |
