This won't help you spend your $$ at Amazon, but I was at Disneyland last week and thought the autograph books they have available for purchase at stores in the park are ADORABLE! Of course, they'll probably cost a little bit more than outside the park, but if you don't find anything before you get to WDW, that's always an option.

Have a great time!!

I just read another post that said that some of the Disney stores are closing...if you have one nearby check it out you might get a good deal there!

cata5 is welcome here
When we went, the autograph book ($5) and a pen ($1-2) was THE souvenir of the park and probably the most reasonably priced. We bought shirts and other misc at the Disney Outlets. When we got back, I found a photo album (I think at Lechters) with Mickey on it that I put all our trip pictures in.

Thanks for the help guys!! $5 is not too bad especially since the cheapest one I found was for $3.60 (non disney) I don't mind $5 but $10 would of been out of my league!! Especially since I have 3 children under the age of 5!!(DD will be five at the time of the trip though!) Thanks Again!

the ones at wdw are soooooooo cute, & a great, inexpensive souvenier. if you do purchase a pen before the trip, make sure it has a *fat* barrel - the plush characters have difficulty holding thin (like regular bics) pens. (btw, the disney stores that are closing will not be marking down their inventory, as they all go thru a central register syatem. what's left will be distributed to stores that are remaining open. sorry)

Lightbulb

Good tip about the "fat" pen Ischrow! I would of never thought about the characters difficulty holding a regular pen. After looking around at some of the Disney boards, I may even have the kids make an autograph book before we go! That way they start getting excited about it! I know they will want that mickey mouse hat with the ears so that may have to be their souveneir. Does anyone know how much those cost at Disney?

I bought two sets of mouse ears last week at Disneyland--one for an infant (about $5) and one for an adult (about $6). Embroidering is included in the charge.

just a suggestion:
why not just give the kids some disney dollars (some parents give it as allowance, or as presents).
they can't spend it in the local toy shop (tho you can both spend them, and buy them at the disney store), and they'll have their own money to buy the "oh, but i have to have this! i won't ask for anything else the whole trip!" item.

have a great time!
(btw, there are some great rate codes for WDW resorts floating around - check out the newsgroup rec.arts.disney.parks, there are wonderful 'tips' there too)
