| I'll help Let me know what toys she likes and what size she wears. I have some extra clothes and toys I can give you if you pay shipping. I understand what its like to be broke. Do you mind used but in great shape stuff? Also I could send a beanie baby or two (NEW). Also, as for recommendations- check the target post for cheap toys - and the Wal Mart brand toy sets are cheap too. Wal Mart is closing out a LOT of nice girls clothes right now. I hope this will help. YOu can reach me by emailing [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or

| Also, don't forget to check stores that sell used items. I know I have bought many things at Children's Orchard for my little ones. They sell used toys and clothing. At 4, she probably won't notice if the item is not in its original packaging. Look for the clearance sections at Target, K-Mart and Walmart stores. Also, don't forget Amazon has that outlet section that sometimes has good toy prices. Also, if she likes books and videos, I have had much success buying used ones at [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] for very cheap! I bought Blue's Clues and Muppet videos from poeple there.

| How about giving her a bunch of gift certificates you make up your self. For example: dinner at McDonalds with Mommy or Daddy, a trip to the movies, a trip to a local museum (use library passes if available). Along with the certificates give her a calendar(which are real cheap this time of year) and decide when to redeem over the next few months. This way you can spread the cost of the gifts over the next month or two. I know my kids get alot of gifts from relatives and friends at their birthdays. They tend not to appreciate it. This kind of gift would last longer and probably mean more. Just an idea. |

| Try the dollar store. Whatever you get, wrap separately. A small gift on her bed when she wakes up may make an impression on her. Her birthday might be a great birthday because of what you do not what she gets. Play some birthday games or have a special tea party... |

| She's at a great age for toys that take more time than money. Paper dolls are great if Mom actually sits down and plays them with you, so are coloring books and bubbles, etc. As long as you make it a special day she will have a wonderful birthday. |
