I CURRENTLY HAVE DISH NETWORK. I GOT A FREE SATALITE SYSTEM (HAD TO INSTALL IT OURSELVES) FOR 26.00 SHIPPING AND A 1 YEAR CONTRACT OF 40.00 A MONTH, WHICH IS THE SAME AS BASIC CABLE IN MY AREA (AMERICA'S TOP 100 PROGRAMMING PACKAGE AND ONE PREMIUM- TMC, SHOWTIME, HBO PACK). WHEN I SIGNED UP I ALSO GOT 3 MONTHS OF FREE PREMIUM PROGRAMMING AND PERSONAL TV (TIVO). ALSO, I GOT A REBATE CHECK FOR 199.00 FROM DISH NETWORK. THE SATALITE RECIEVER ALSO HAS A BUILT-IN WEBTV+ MEANING YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE A SEPARATE ONE. THE DEAL WAS SO GREAT, I EVEN GOT ONE FOR MY MOM SINCE SHE LOST HER WEBTV UNIT IN A LIGHTENING STORM. Personally I have Dish Network and love it. You might wanna visit [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] It's an excellent site with very helpful people.

DBS tends to be a better solution in most cases then digital cable. I dunno much about cable deals but just to give a basic idea, if you're a sport fan then you might wanna consider DirectTV. If you like movies or wanna save a buck or two then Dish Network is your choice. They also have international programming.

There are few aspects to consider before buying...you need to have a clear view to the southern sky and in some cases legal matters of mounting the dish...

A hint: once you pick what you want I'd sugest you get a reciver with a hard drive that can pause live shows, record them, and skip commercials. It's very addictive and you'd be surprised how you've watched tv without it. As a new subscriber you should get a good deal
