Rolling eyes

I'm looking for a good long distance carrier that also has good instate rates. Right now I have Verizon that charges .06/minute for instate and .10/minute out of state, but I have to pay a monthly charge. Any suggestions?

Cool Try VarTec

This is one of thoes 10-10 things, but there is no monthly service charge and I call instate in Virginia for .05 a minute. Go to their website for more details. They have been great so far, I misdialed a number and they gave me credit. There is a .50 minimum on each call, so they credited the .50 for the misdial. You dial 10-10-811 and then your number. I kept AT&T for my long distance service but signed up for a plan that had no monthly fee. Hope this helps.

Smile My 2 Cents Worth......

I am with Sprint. I pay 5 cents in and out of state 24 hours a day 7 days a week with a $3.95 a month charge. I am in California and the calls within states vary, according to state regulations, but the rest should be the same.

Verizon is my phone company, not much choice, and I find them VERY expensive!!!

I like to stick with the big companies...had problems with the others...

Just MY opinion....

Good Luck!

What state are you in?

I use AmeriCom.

5.5 cents for interstate calls. In-state calls depend on your state. No monthly fees, no time restrictions, no gimmicks.

Thumbs up

Go to [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] and check out their two pricing plans. These work wonderfully if you are within their Northeast service area. Flat rate at 4.9 cents per min., or a Northeast Plan that I use. My monthly long distance averages 3-4 cents per min. with this plan. Great on long calls. There is no vendor swithching, no monthly fees; I don't even have a LD carrier on my home phone line. I have used them for nearly 2 years without a hitch. Cheapest for budgeting purposes is by purchasing prepaid cards (AT&T) through Sam's Club at 4.16 cents per min., tax included. Also, don't forget AT&T for ISP at $4.95/mo. (150 hours max.). Have a gracious week in the blessed Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ.
