Disney vacation help needed!!

My husband and I are planning a 4 night disney vacation in November and we really don't know where to start as far as looking for deals on park tickets and where to stay. The things we know we're looking for are:

- potential deals on hopper tickets and universal tickets.
- off site reasonable Hyatt or Marriott hotels (we have a $200 voucher towards either chain) with free shuttle service

Any other tips would be greatly appreciated as well!

These sites will also let you know if any of the attractions will be closed during your stay.

I believe there is still a Hyatt, Marriott, or both at Lake Buena Vista, which is still basically on-site near Downtown Disney. Any of the hotels there will have Disney transportation which is WAY more convenient than the traditional shuttle service that nearly all of the off-site hotels offer.

It has been several years since I have been, so I may be wrong about some of this (and I'm sure I'll be corrected! ) If so, the above sites should have the most current info. That being said, staying onsite may be fairly affordable considering the current economy, and the completely immersive atmosphere that you enjoy by staying at a Disney hotel may be worth saving the voucher for another trip, especially if this is your first time to visit. I have done both, and it is a completely different experience when you stay on property. I would recommend the least expensive that will fit your family, just because you probably will not spend much time in your room, and you can visit any other resort if you want.
