I too have Diabetes and found that many of the companies Bayer and AccuCheck will pay for the meds
There is a huge list of both government as well as non government programs here
Some go by income some do not

Details This program provides free FreeStyle Flash Meter Blood Glucose Monitoring System, FreeStyle Blood Glucose Monitoring System, or Precision Xtra Blood Glucose and Ketone Monitoring System, Strips, and Lancets to eligible applicant.
Eligibility Guidelines The applicant must have applied to Medicaid, been denied, have no prescription insurance and meet income guidelines that are not disclosed.
How To Apply The applicant must call for a prescreening, then an application will be sent out. The completed application must be sent in with a doctor's note about testing requirements, proof of income and a denial letter from Medicaid.
