Wink

If you're looking for reasonably priced cookware you might try TFal. A set usually runs $80- $100.
If you want to spend more, Calphalon comes to mind.

Places to look right now would be [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] clearance and maybe [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] .
Look around for coupons and also rebate programs. That should bring the price down.

This is my first post so I hope I do this right. I have been cooking for 35 years and I just got my best and most affordable pots & pans from QVC. They have a new line called "cooks essentials" and they are great. Not expensive and you can use metal utensils in them :-)You can check on line at QVC.Com.

Tongue Circulon is great!

I just love Circulon. It is expensive, but won't get all scratched up, start sticking and need to be replaced in a few years like T-fal and cheaper pans. The grooved surface looks funny, but is a superior non-stick design. Only thing is, it won't go in the dishwasher. But it is such a breeze to clean, you'd never need to. They have "try me" deals on smaller pans for around $15, so you see if you like them.

Try Amazon in their kitchen outlet. They have two Cuisinart sets, both $224.99. This is still out of my price range, but this is one of those sets that would be in my "dream" kitchen. Try code AMEREXKTCHEN for another $20 off. This is an older code, so maybe someone has a newer, more "generous" code.

Big grin Analon is great too!

I bought the Analon cookware about a month ago (the same cookware as Circulon, but without the grooves at the bottom). Check out [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] for information...

The cookware is great, nothing sticks and the outside is also non-stick coated for easy cleanup. The lids are clear glass, so you can see inside. The main issue is that you can't put the pots in the dishwasher, but they are a breeze to cleanup. One thing to watch with the hard anondized cookware is that you cannot put them on high heat -- medium or lower only or the pots turn colors! It usually isn't a problem unless you are trying to boil water for pasta. Then, it seems to take forever unless you put hot water in beforehand...

The 10 piece set is pretty much price fixed at $249.99, but you can use coupons at Amazon to get the price lower. I used a $50 off with the free shipping deal before Christmas and had the additional 5% off from my eCard Visa ( [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] ) for a grand total of $189.99.

Sometimes in my area HomePlace, Bed Bath & Beyond, or Linens and Things have a 25% off coupon which can be used on the sets.

Good luck!

I agree with akapla01 on the Analon cookware. I like the look of Analon Professional cookware better than the regular Analon. I've seen both at T.J. Maxx, sold as individual pieces, which are cheaper than buying them at department or specialty stores.

As for buying an entire set of any professional quality cookware, I'd recommend watching for coupon codes for [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] and then definitely going through a cash rebate site like ebates to save even more.

Two schools of thought on cookware: spend a little and buy new ones every few years, or spend a lot and buy new ones every few decades. I've always bought "decent" non-stick cookware at Target, and sort of considered it disposable, since I don't take great care of it and it's not that great in the first place. The Analon pans I'm slowly replacing them with, though, are wonderful and I can tell will last for a long, long time--they clean up beautifully and cook evenly, and because they aren't painted, don't get discolored. Pretty soon I will rid my kitchen of all that icky silverstone and have pots and pans that are pretty enough to hang! (My husband says that's a stupid goal, but doesn't complain when the food's on the table!)
