I think laptop would be the best options.
Personally it's pretty handy.

Normally, Amazon provide a good deal for laptop.

I would go for a laptop but make sure you get one which has at least 120gig hard drive nowdays. 60 and 80 gig are far too small now. They have some good ones on Amazon and Ebay at the moment. If possible try not to get a refurb model and try for a new one if you can. Dell, HP, and Acer are some that I have had they have been realiable models. Also check out the battery life specs.
