The best place buy books on the net is half.com They are used, but many of the books I have received look like they never have been read. The prices are very low, and if you are looking for something special you can preorder it at the price of your choice. And if someone is willing to sell it to at your price your all set. I have purchase books for as little as 50 cents plus S&H. Hope this helps.
