My husband wants to set up our TV with speakers to give it surround sound. He is looking for a whole set somewhere with the receiver, subwoofer, and speakers.

Has anyone bought anything like this lately that they got a great deal on that they really like?

Or has anyone seen any really great deals on something like this?

My husband recently bought the Bose surround sound. It was very expensive but he thinks it sounds so great. Personally, I could have lived with a less expensive one. The only good thing was that we also got a free Wave Radio with the purchase, which normally runs around $350. There are so many brands out there, it just depends on how much money you want to spend.
Imagine, who would want to listen to the Teletubbies in surround sound??????This is his new toy!!

I recently bought the Yamaha system because I could not afford the Bose system (but if I had that extra cash then I would DEFINITELY go for Bose!!!) But Yamaha is great and I got the YHT 23 for $649 + taxes.....I think that that's the best deal that I could get considering the fact that it retails for $699. But I have no idea which company you are looking for. There are some really good systems like Aiwa and Sony and Panasonic which are very affordable and won't pinch the budget.
