| My husband has always wanted a Mont Blanc pen. They are very expensive. And he doesn't need one that it hundreds and hundreds of dollars. I am just looking for the classique style. It is a about $195. Does anyone know of a store that sells them online that would ahve some great sale on them, or maybe coupons off to make it a good deal?

You might try Ashford.com . . . they have some nice pens, although I'm not sure about Mont Blanc specifically (haven't had time to look!). There are some codes for coupons for Ashford on the DOD homepage, or you might find someone with a coupon from Amazon for Ashford -- they sent them with their orders. I got one for 50 off a 100 purchase, but I'm using mine. Someone on the Found a Deal board is making a waiting list because they have a bunch of orders coming from Amazon that should include the Ashford codes. Look there and see if you can get on. I have a couple more orders from Amazon coming too, so if I get another code, I'll give it to you. I know I won't use two. Ashford has quick shipping too, so you could order it pretty late and still get it from them in time for the holidays. Hope that helps a little. Jacee

THANKS freesurfer! That luxurycorner site looks really good, freesurfer! Just as a small price comparison, I looked at the Leonard Bernstein Ballpoint from MontBlanc and saw that the Ashford price is 212.50 and the Luxurycorner price was 184.99. I don't know of anyone who has ordered from Luxerycorner, but the site looks great. I know Ashford has good service and quick shipping, but for the price, maybe the other site is better. Great FIND!!! Jacee

Thanks for these great suggestions. Maybe someone who uses nice pens will know the answer to this question.... What is the difference between a rollerball and a ballpoint? Is there one you would buy over the other? Does one give smoother writing? My husband loves these pens, and I know if I asked him, he would tell me they were too expensive. But if it shows up at Christmas he will love it. And this is coming from someone who is happy with a Bic pen. ![]() I found an Ashford coupon from a recent Amazon order. ![]()

This is what I ended up doing. Ashford has a Montblanc Classique style 163 Rollerball for $148.75. I have an Ashford coupon for $50 off $100. They have free shipping. Then, I went to Flooz and sent my work email $100 in flooz since i was a first time sender. And they have a promotion right now that if you send someone $75 flooz, they send you $25 more to yourself. I sent $100 since you can only use 1 form of payment. But, I will also have $25 more to spend on someone else. I also went for the Rollerball over the Ballpoint since I thought rollerball sounded fancier and Ballpoint sounds more like a Bic Pen. Overall - it will end up costing me $75 since I will have that extra $25 to spend on someone else for Christmas.

OK--I asked a "guy" and this is the answer I got about ball point -vs- roller ball. Ball point will be like a ball point pen and roller ball will be more like a felt tip pen. With the roller ball the ink will be wet on the paper and can smear easily. Not sure if this is correct. Hope it helps.

A rollball is a finer pen. It's writes like a fountain pen but without the hassle or mess. In my experience a good rollerball pen has never smeared. The ink is finer than a marker and produces a fine line. If your going to spend a lot on a pen go with a rollerball. It's a finer pen.
