Budget truck is SOOO cheap. We got Michigan to San Francisco for $504!!

How in the heck did you find a deal on moving so cheaply Marina? We ARE IN DESPARATE NEED of some cheap deals here. We are making the one-way move to Ohio from California and are receiving quotes in the form of $1,700-$4,000!!!

BTW: Any one find any coupons for any of the major truck rental companies; Budget, U-Haul, Penske, etc...

When we moved, I signed up online to get a quote from Penske. It was so high that I clicked out. A few days later, a rep from Penske called and when I told them it was too expensive, they discounted me down till they were comparable to my lowest bid and I got unlimited miles + 1 extra day. It might not save you much, but it could.

There also may be a coupon for a Budget truck in the Moving Guide that you get from the post office. It was like 15% for a weekday move this summer, 10% weekend.
If you're moving for work, you may be able to get a corporate discount through the new employer.
AARP discounts some moving companies.
Check the back of your phone book.
If you have Blue Cross insurance, they have a ton of companies who work through them. Might be a moving truck in the mix, might not. It's not an insurance thing, but you get the discount just by showing your card.

Also, some companies will do double, or even triple, discounts. Just ask.

I'm looking to get some advice on truck rentals.. I'm going from CA to Denver in about a month but I need a good company. Also not sure if I should use one way rental?I've been searching online and I found some info on these sites, but I'm not even sure if that second company has a customer service team??
