I have an 8-month old, and my couches desperately need slipcovers. I've searched everywhere. Only found 2 websites, both too expensive. Please Help. Thanks in advance to everyone who helps. |

I was going to post a concern like this too! I have cats and their fur sticks to my couch like glue because of the material it's made out of. The cheapest slips I could find at Wal Mart were $60 !!! ------------------ [Only registered and activated users can see links. Was just slip cover shopping last month for a sofa that we bought used. The previous owners had a cat and we couldn't get all the fur off the couch. Anyway check out: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] Here is another site that has slipcovers from surefit and other stores. To find it fast type in slipcovers under search. [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] ALSO Use coupon code PF177S20 for $10 off $20 to get some real steals. $10 off $20 Code: PF177S20 $10 off $50 Code: HF298D4 exp.10/15 $10 off $50 Code: HF298D9 exp.10/15 Another idea that we used on a couch was to buy (or use one that you have) a flat T-shirt Sheet. You can buy whatever color, also the sheet stretches easily so you can tuck the sheet in the sides/corners of your couch to make a clean line. It works well and looks nice too. Just add a couple of pillows and possible a afghan/throw over the side for extra. Surefit makes great slipcovers. I have two sets for my couch and loveseat--one in a cream and a darker khaki. They wash up great and look good. They are a little harder to put on than they advertise, but worth the time. I paid about $50.00 for each of mine.

While waiting to find your slipcovers, I saw a terrific tip on getting cat hair off sofas on tv the other day. Take a plain rubber glove (like playtex or the like) and rub over the fabric. Picks up the hair like crazy - I tried it and it worked great on my sofa. Of course, this does nothing for the shredded bottom of the couch, so I'm still looking for slipcovers too.
