Looking for a good deal on a laptop computer

I need to get a laptop but I am not a rich person lol. (who is?) I cant seem to find any less than a couple thousand dollars and that is WAY WAY WAY too much lol. I need something less than $1000. Considerably less. lol. If it is even possible. lol. Free would be better, but I wont hold my breath for that lol. Anyone know of any good ones for cheap.
