I needed to register with them in order to receive money for a service. They ask for a bank account #. Why do they need this and is it safe? Thanks

I have been using Pay Pal for about 6 months now, and it has been great. They need the bank info, to make sure you are who you say you are. (Extra security measure) Please let me know if you need any further help. If you are using it for auctions, you will LOVE it. It is so much easier, and makes the whole process go by much quicker. Paypal is a great service. They are merged with X.com now. I have been using them for quite a while. I accept payments from my ebay auctions with paypal. The reason they ask for the bank acct info is several reasons. First of all to verify that you are who you say you are. Also, lets say for instance that I send you money with paypal and it is sitting in your acct. You can transfer that money directly into your bank acct from paypal electronically. Also if you want to put money from your bank acct in your paypal you will be able to do that too. You can trust them. I have been using them for a while like I said, and I love the service.
